Heather is a marine ecologist who has dabbled in environmental economics, policy, population dynamics, ecotoxicology, and oceanography. She is coordinating trainings and workshops in conservation planning, especially with Marxan, and is helping PacMARA develop an operational marine ecosystem-based management framework for BC.

Norma is a marine biologist and GIS analyst specialized in coastal and marine risk assessment and planning. Originally from Barcelona, Spain, she has traveled the world from New Jersey to Alaska, to finally settle in Victoria, BC. As PacMARA’s Program Manager, she is representing PacMARA locally and assisting the Science Advisor in the organization and delivery of training courses and publications.
